JOB PURPOSE

Manager on Duty assign and manage supervisors for inbound and outbound tasks, prepare and review schedules, monitor and adjust manpower and operations, audit and spot check processes, ensure compliance with procedures, and coordinate logistics and shipments.

Job Description

  • Assign supervisors for inbound and outbound tasks

  • Prepare 2 weeks work schedule of inbound and outbound supervisors every other Wednesday

  • Review actual attendance vs plan for the day, plan for re-distribution of manpower or for overtime if needed

  • Make sure inbound docks are fully occupied

  • Audit scrap for sale before loading to scrap hauler

  • Spot check unloaded shipments if palletizing is correct based on pallet configuration

  • Check FIFO of incoming shipments if being followed

  • Check delivery schedule of fulfillment vendors if being followed

  • Inform MOD 2 of the expected inbound shipments for the next day

  • Review outbound truck trip routing schedule if being followed

  • Make sure outbound docks have trucks

  • Make sure outbound teams follow build-load policy

  • Make sure outbound stagings are clear except with assigned picklist

  • Check team number tag of pickers, unloaders if aligned with outbound auditor and inbound receiver

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in inbound and outbound staging's and docks

  • Update  end of shift reports

Incoming shipment report

  • Number of containers

  • Trucks

  • Pallets received

  • Unreturned pallets

  • Empty pallets on hand

Outbound shipment report

  • Number of containers

  • Trucks

  • Pallets dispatched

Report issues and concerns to DC manager

  • Attendance

  • Truck requirement

  • Consumables

  • Perform other task/s that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any course

Training/ Seminars:
