JOB PURPOSE
Overseeing day to day warehouse operations, prepare bi-weekly schedule for warehouse workers. Ensuring the cleanliness, adherence and compliance with the warehouse policy.
Job Description
-
Overseeing day to day operation:
INBOUND
-
Prepare 2 week’s work schedule of the unloaders every other Wednesday
-
Inform floor supervisor when inbound shipment is ready for put-away
-
Prepare enough pallets for expected inbound shipment
-
Follow pallet configuration when building merchandise into pallets, if no pallet config (new item) report new pallet config to S&R inbound transition head
-
Inspect all pallets if with LPN before put-away
-
Check if items are with case barcode, if none report to S&R inbound specialist and ask for new case barcode
-
Do random inspection of boxes in inbound staging if with case barcode
-
Check if equipment is parked in the assigned parking area
-
Check if pallet 1 up - 1 down policy is followed for fulfillment vendors
-
Check if staging lines are followed
-
Backload staging
-
New inbound shipment receiving
-
RTV staging
-
Make sure that every dock has 10 empty pallets
OUTBOUND
-
Prepare 2 weeks work schedule of the pickers, loaders, and builders every other Wednesday
-
Inform floor supervisor of the number of teams per shift, to align the schedule of forklift operator pickers
-
Check if equipment is parked in the assigned parking area
-
Check if staging lines are followed facing the dock:
-
1 Right side of the staging - picked merchandise
-
2 Left side of the staging - built merchandise
-
Make sure outbound teams follow build-load policy
-
Make sure location tag is present on the assigned staging before picking starts
-
Make sure location tag is present before loading shipments into the truck
-
Random check location of the pickers, make sure no one is wasting time
-
Report to S&R outbound specialist if pickers encountered issues in WMS or in connection
-
Check if outbound teams have complete number of pickers
-
Check if dock has assigned truck according to pick list
FLOOR
-
Prepare 2 weeks work schedule of the forklift operators every other Wednesday
-
Make sure pallets for put-away are pulled out by the inbound transporter from inbound staging
-
Make sure pallets picked and dropped to inner aisle are pulled out by the outbound transporter
-
Assign let down tasks to forklift operators
-
Monitor let-down tasks, level 1 slot locations should not be empty
-
Maintain fix-bin assigned to local SKUs
-
Do floor walk and look for the following. Do floor initiated-pick loose merchandise
non-conforming pallet
-
Remove damaged goods from the slot locations and bring to RTV area
-
Make sure that all docks and stagings are clean
-
Maintain cleanliness in the assigned area
-
Update end of shift report
-
Report issues and concerns to MOD 1 & 2
-
Perform other task/s that may be assigned from time to time.
